The Future of the Rule of Law and Human Rights in China:
Chen Guangcheng in conversation with Jerome A. Cohen

Chen Guangcheng, a blind activist lawyer, was recently permitted to leave China under duress. He is currently a visiting scholar at NYU School of Law.

Jerome A. Cohen, an expert on China and Chinese Law, is Professor of Law and co-director of the U.S.-Asia Law Institute at NYU School of Law. He was active in securing Chen Guangcheng’s release.

The Center for Public Scholarship has organized this University in Exile event, the fourth in the series, which is an extension of the Endangered Scholars Worldwide initiative of the Social Research journal.
